Amma Owusu-Afriyie

Project Manager

Amma has been Project Managing the GUBA Foundation since 2012.

After ten years of work in the Banking and Finance sector, her passion for helping people and communities inspired her to redirect her skills into the social world. She is a graduate with Community Development and Public Policy BSc Honours and currently works for the UK's leading mental health law firm.

Dr Jermaine Bamfo

Communications & PR Officer

Dr Jermaine Bamfo has been a member of the GUBA Foundation since late 2013.

He is very enthusiastic about matters relating to the Afro-Caribbean community and is passionate about improving communities in the UK and Ghana, and spotlighting young Ghanaians making an impact in these communities. Dr Bamfo is a regular contributor to the Me Firi Ghana blog and is Deputy Editor of the acclaimed Future of Ghana publication. He is a graduate of the University of Liverpool with a BSc in Anatomy & Human Biology, and has attained a twin degree in Medicine and Surgery from Imperial College London. At present, he is completing his foundation medical training in Northern Ireland

Priscilla Ewusi-Essel

Hospitality and Logistics Officer

Priscilla joined the team in March 2015. She has over ten years experience in the Further and Higher Education sector.

Joining GUBA Foundation was destiny waiting to happen. In 2009 her friends sister passed away whilst giving birth in Ghana, this birthed her passion to make a difference in Ghana. She holds a postgraduate degree in Data Mining and Knowledge Management and BSC in Business Information Technology and currently works for a higher education institution.

Darren R Awuah

Graphic Designer

Darren R Awuah is a digital illustrator / graphic designer and also the CEO of D-Artfactory a design consultancy that has been running since 2000.

His speciallity includes digital technical illustration a route and also the background of where his illustrious design career begun.Prior to D-Artfactory, Darren has worked with numerous of publishers both as an in house illustrator and as a freelancer some of these companies include Dorling Kindersley (DK Books), Brown Bear Books, Aerospace Publishing, Eaglemoss Publications and loads more.

Some of the books he has illustrated in includes The Alphabet with Stickboy, Strength Training, The BMA guide to Back Care, The BMA guide to Sports Injuries, Core Strength Training, The Gadget Book, GO!(planes,boat,trains), World Heritage, The Wehmacht, Hitlas Stuka Squadrons, How Do We Measure.

Today he continues to demonstrate his artistic skills in various avenues one of which is fashion where he has a label and brand Dzign Apparel which was launched in the summer of 2008. His moto is to create happiness to every individual with his artistic creativity!

Rosemary Ama Bonney

Strategic Planning Officer

Rosemary has 10 years’ experience in the field of health promotion, public health and health improvement through employment with NHS, the third and private sectors.

She is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people within communities and the population in general. Her working experiences involved the responsibilities of developing strategies, managing and delivering on a range of interventions and projects as well as monitoring and evaluating them. She also develops and sustains partnerships to promote health improvement.

Rosemary’s expertise and passion is promoting healthy lifestyles (behaviour change), implementing initiatives and facilitating training and workshops. In her spare time she enjoys mentoring and coaching her Church youth group, facilitating and supporting charitable organisations in their delivery of health promotion activities.

Jennifer Djan-Krofa

Hospitality and Logitics Officer

Jennifer is a Secondary School Leader with joint responsibility of an entire year group of 186 students.

A Qualified Teacher of Computer Science, Information Communication Technology and Business Studies a role held successfully for the past 8 years; having worked with young people, ex-offenders, the unemployed and those with various social issues Jennifer is passionate about helping young people achieve in their educational and career aspirations.

In the community Jennifer is an enthusiastic events coordinator, Sunday School Teacher and Chorister very much involved in supporting various organisations and community projects including charity work in UK, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, South Africa and Barbados. Currently studying an MA in Education, Gender & International Development she has been described as ‘an African Woman in tune with her Ghanaian culture who likes to celebrate the beauty within…’

Barbara Baidoo

Communiations and PR Officer

Barbara supports our comms and PR work.

With a background in project management and communication, she is passionate about using her skills and knowledge to promote African business and issues within the community. .

George Ameyaw

Head of PR/Marketing/Sponsorship for the GUBA Brand

An experienced professional with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and a Diploma in Public Relations, Journalism and Advertising.

He is a devoted family man with three beautiful children. His daughter Arianna is autistic and through this, he has acquired the art of patience and unconditional love. This experience has enabled him to gain vital knowledge which he applies to the GUBA Foundation’s aims and objectives. He is committed to altruism and uses this quest of helping others, to enforce and exceed the ethos of the GUBA Foundation.

Winifred Duncan

Fundraising Officer

Winifred is a qualified Social Worker with diverse experience within the healthcare, social and education fields.

She has over seven years experience working in the SEN team of a mainstream secondary secondary school and for three years has been an active parent governor for a primary school. Winifred is also the dedicated mother of three blessed children. She has had the opportunity to preach in a partner church and also mentors various students. Winifred loves to write poetry and is also extremely passionate about making a difference and impacting this and future generations.

Anita Martin

Administration & Research Officer

Anita joined the GUBA Foundation in early 2015.

She is a graduate in Airline and Airport Management and has a range of experience working for some of the UK's top airline and government bodies. Born in Ghana, she is passionate about her home land and has a deep rooted desire to help others. Using her skills for the GUBA Foundation has allowed her to translate these passions into action and give back to the community that she so loves.

Kyere Ofori Reginald

International Field Representative

Kyere Ofori Reginald graduated from Ghana Institute of Journalism, with a degree in media communications.

He worked with the Ghana News Agency and rates interviews with Ghana's first cinematographer Dr. Chris Hesse and renowned Ghanaian actor, David Dontoh as the highlights of his career as a journalist. Reggie dreams of working with the United Nations, travelling around the world and founding an African business magazine.
